Two hurt in explosion at restaurant in China
BEIJING (Dow Jones) -- An explosion at a fast-food outlet in northeast China on Sunday morning injured two policeman, the official Xinhua news agency reported.
Police rushed to the restaurant in Anda town in Heilongjiang province after receiving a call saying that an explosion would soon take place, Xinhua said, citing Sheng Wei, the police chief of Suihua city, which governs Anda.
The blast occurred as police were evacuating the restaurant, the police chief told Xinhua.
A picture on the website of the news agency showed black smoke rising from the ground floor of a building, with a fire engine and police vehicles parked outside.
Police are investigating, Xinhua said without giving more details.
