South Korea's Park removes seven of nine lawyers defending her
Deposed president's team was likely at odds over the defense strategy

SEOUL -- Impeached South Korean President Park Geun-hye has dismissed seven lawyers from her nine-member defense team. The deposed president was arrested on several charges, including corruption.
The revelation came on Sunday from a source at the prosecutors' special investigation headquarters, which is probing a scandal in which Park allegedly received bribes from Samsung group, the country's largest conglomerate.
Speculation exists that there were internal rifts within the team between those who claim they should deny all of the allegations and those who demanded that they should admit to some of them and deny the illegality of Park's acts.
