TOKYO -- Nikkei said Friday that it will change the price-adjustment factors applied to the shares of Keisei Electric Railway and Nippon Express Holdings in calculating the Nikkei Stock Average, or Nikkei 225, due to stock splits planned by the companies.
The price-adjustment factors will be changed on Dec. 27 from the current 0.5 to 1.5 for Keisei and from 0.1 to 0.3 for Nippon Express, as both companies plan a three-for-one split of their shares. The divisors will not be affected since the price levels of the Nikkei 225's constituent issues will remain the same.
