TOKYO -- Nikkei will replace six constituents of the Nikkei 500 Stock Average on April 1, the company said Wednesday.
The reshuffle will add Japanese chip design house Socionext, industrial gas company Iwatani and four other companies to replace six existing constituents, including biotech company Takara Bio. The move is part of an annual review based on trading volume, trading value and market capitalization during the previous three years.
