AirAsia may consider listing Malaysian business

Potential small offering to help investors assign value to domestic operations

KUALA LUMPUR (Nikkei Markets) - AirAsia, the Southeast Asia's largest regional budget carrier by fleet, may consider listing the Malaysian business in future, its group chief executive said Monday.

"I just don't want to close anything else and any venture out right now," Tony Fernandes said at a news conference without elaborating on listing details. "The one reason we may do a small offering on Malaysia is just to ascribe value to (make it) easily understood."
