SINGAPORE (Nikkei Markets) -- Singapore stocks rose Tuesday as investors tracked gains in other Asian markets after an extended weekend.
The city-state's FTSE Straits Times Index rose 0.3% to 3,219.53. The market was closed Monday. The advance elsewhere in Asia on Monday and the minor uptick on Tuesday have coincided with a recovery of crude oil prices from recent lows. Brent crude prices edged higher on Tuesday, poised for a fourth day of advance after falling to multi-month lows last week.
