BEIJING -- Newwayer Environmental Protection Technology, a Chinese biodegradable material and product manufacturer, raised 30 million yuan ($4.2 million) from SMiT Group in a recent Series A funding round.
Newwayer will use the money to build new production lines to churn out products made from biodegradable materials, including shopping bags and agricultural mulch sheets.
