BEIJING -- Chinese augmented reality startup Guangli Technology has raised over 100 million yuan ($15.7 million) in a Series A round. It plans to use the funds to nurture a market for consumer AR smart glasses and to develop light field and holography technologies, as well as boosting its production capacity. The company aims to expand its business by introducing next-generation products more quickly.

Guangli has unique core technologies, including optical waveguides and optical materials, and it has worked to fuse advanced optical technology with AR technology. According to the company, its "thin, lightweight and wide-angle AR glasses can be worn for a long time, both indoors and outdoors, and provide a better AR experience."
