Chinese startup says its 3D-printed rocket can cut costs by 80%

BEIJING -- Chinese startup SpaceTai is developing engines and rockets using 3D printing technology for the commercial space industry, with the aim of bringing costs down to below one-fifth the current average.

Even though it was only established in March 2021, SpaceTai claims it can manufacture more than 90% of parts used in rockets with its own 3D printers, which will cut production costs.
