Oppo makes lighter smart glasses with help from Chinese startup

BEIJING -- Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has unveiled its lightweight smart Oppo Air Glass 2 that weigh only 38 grams, using technology developed by startup Meta-Bounds.

Until now, no company has been able to produce such glasses that weigh less than 50 grams. Glass diffractive optical waveguide lenses are commonly used in the industry.
