ANA to open Japanese food court at Singapore airport

Airline operator seeks to cater to growing popularity of the cuisine

TOKYO -- Airline operator ANA Holdings will set up a food court dedicated to Japanese fare in Singapore's Changi Airport as early as November.

Unit All Nippon Airways Trading will create a joint venture with a local business to operate the food court, whose 700-plus sq. meters of space will be able to accommodate 300 seats. The venture will run six eateries there under franchise contracts with Japanese restaurants. Investment is estimated at 200 million yen ($1.8 million).
