Pertamina investing $20 billion to cut oil imports

JAKARTA - Pertamina, Indonesia's state energy company, plans to double domestic oil production to 1.6 million barrels per day by 2020 to cut imports.

     According to the Energy and Resources Ministry, in 2014 Indonesia has had to import 608,000 barrels per day (bpd) and spend arround $150 million per month to meet domestic demand.
