TOKYO -- Japanese retail giant Aeon plans to open day care facilities inside its nationwide network of shopping centers and general merchandise supermarkets for its employees and other parents.
It aims to establish a model nursery school at one of its sites in the greater Tokyo area by next spring, then open similar day care centers at 15 or more shopping centers and supermarkets in Osaka and elsewhere a year later. By spring 2018, it intends to have at least one location in each of 46 prefectures nationwide.
