Space policy director warns of broad implications of armed space conflict

TOKYO -- China's development of weapons designed to shoot down satellites presents a "disturbing" national security threat, a senior U.S. defense official told Nikkei.

"That's a very disturbing threat to see someone develop that kind of a capability," John Hill, principal director for space policy at the U.S. Department of Defense, said Saturday.
