TOKYO -- Japan will conduct a launch of its next-generation H3 rocket on Monday, having fixed the problem that caused a last-minute launch abort on Feb. 17.

That launch was halted due to an electrical problem, delivering a potential blow to Japan's space and national security programs, as well as its ambition to expand in the commercial launch market. The quick turnaround apparently indicates a determination to keep the launch as close to the schedule as possible. The development of the rocket is already two years behind.
