TOKYO -- Japan's ispace seeks to become Asia's first private sector company to land successfully on the moon, but it is increasingly clear that support from the public sphere will be key.
The startup's Resilience lander failed to attain a soft touchdown on Thursday. The company plans its next attempted lunar landing for 2027.
