HONG KONG -- Hong Kong held a ceremony on Wednesday to mark the maiden flight of the Chinese-made C919 passenger jet outside the mainland, in a show of support for state-owned manufacturer's pursuit of export deals.
The narrow-bodied C919 -- dubbed dafeiji, meaning "big" or "great airplane" in mainland China -- was developed by Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC). It landed in Hong Kong on Tuesday.
