TAIPEI -- Taiwan is developing an ambitious space program, aiming to select its first full-fledged rocket launch site in the next few months while discussing satellite collaboration with U.S. e-commerce company Amazon, its top technology official said on Tuesday.

Drones, robotics and communications satellites are "very important to our national security" and are "our top priority" in terms of technology development, Science and Technology Minister Wu Cheng-wen told media at a Taiwan Foreign Correspondents' Club briefing.
