OSAKA -- France's wine country has beckoned one of Japan's top farm equipment makers, which has built a robot designed for sloping vineyards.

Yanmar Holdings' YV01 sprayer navigates rows of vines at 4 kph, guided by accurate RTK GPS and by self-driving technology grounded in the company's tractors.
