AirAsia's new jets to boost leasing unit's value ahead of potential sale

KUALA LUMPUR (NewsRise) -- AirAsia's decision to allot 30 of the 100 newly-purchased aircraft to its unit Asia Aviation Capital will bulk-up assets of its wholly-owned leasing company, potentially boosting its valuation as the Asia's largest budget carrier by fleet readies to evaluate the unit that received an unsolicited purchase offer of nearly $1 billion, analysts said.
