TOKYO -- Amazon has filed the most patent applications for next-generation automotive technology among five major U.S. tech giants over the past two decades, Nikkei research found.
The e-commerce giant, which has made a key acquisition in autonomous driving, has produced a surge in patent filings in the field, in which Google had taken an early lead.
