TOKYO -- Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD released a new model sedan in Japan on Tuesday, hoping to raise its profile in a market dominated by domestic automakers.
The new EV, the BYD Seal, is the company's first sedan available in Japan and its third model sold in Japan overall, following the Atto 3 SUV and the Dolphin compact. By adding a sedan to its product line, the company hopes to reach more customers.
