China's auto sales slide 5% in July, dipping 2nd straight month

CHENGDU, China -- Chinese new-auto sales shrank by 5.2% on the year in July, industry data released Friday shows, declining two months in a row on sluggish domestic demand. 

The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers reported that 2.26 million vehicles were sold last month, including exports.
