HANOI (Reuters) -- Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast on Tuesday reported a smaller $550 million net loss for the third quarter compared with a year earlier, helped by lower costs for materials and ramped-up production volumes.

The Haiphong, Vietnam-based company delivered 44,773 cars in the first nine months of 2024, more than 55% of its 80,000 target for the year. About one-fifth of these deliveries were to related parties, the company said.
