BEIJING -- China's Geely is working to create a global auto group centered around its Zeekr EV line and sister brand Lynk & Co., aiming for 1 million in unit sales as it looks to catch up to leading German automakers.

"We will be the BBA of the new energy era," Zeekr CEO An Conghui said in a February statement to announce the relaunch of the brand, which is Geely Holding Group's main electric vehicle maker.
