GM to launch Cadillac EVs for 1st time in Japan

Right-side steering makes comeback after more than a decade

TOKYO -- General Motors said Friday it will release electric vehicles under the luxury Cadillac brand for the first time in Japan in a bid to spark a resurgence in the market.

GM's Japanese subsidiary will take orders for the all-electric Cadillac Lyriq sport utility vehicle starting Saturday and deliveries will begin as soon as May. The price is set at 11 million yen ($75,000).
