TOKYO -- Nissan Motor and Honda Motor are considering sharing automotive software in an effort to deploy cutting-edge capabilities more cheaply and quickly.

The two Japanese automakers are ironing out details toward jointly developing operating systems and other automotive software, which could help slash related costs.
