TOKYO -- Sony Honda Mobility (SHM) said Tuesday that it has started taking preorders for its artificial intelligence-equipped electric vehicle, the Afeela, prices for which start at $89,900.
This marks the first attempt by the joint venture between Sony Group and Honda Motor to enter the EV market amid rising concerns that president-elect Donald Trump will cut purchase subsidies for EVs, potentially sapping demand in an important market.
