Suzuki Motor aims to be India's top EV maker: president

NEW DELHI -- Suzuki Motor, the parent of India's biggest automaker, is out to take the lead in electric-vehicle market share here, President Toshihiro Suzuki said Thursday.

The Japanese company plans to expand production capacity to turn India into a hub for exports to Europe, Japan, Africa, Southeast Asia and elsewhere, according to the president.
