TOKYO -- Suzuki Motor will supply Toyota Motor with electric cars produced at an India-based subsidiary from 2025, the two Japanese automakers announced on Wednesday, as they accelerate cooperation on swiftly delivering green vehicles to consumers.
The companies have been mutually supplying gasoline and hybrid cars under a business partnership established in 2017, and are now expanding to electric vehicles for the first time. Toyota will be selling Suzuki's first all-electric model, an SUV, under its brand.
