Tesla sets up insurance brokerage in China

SHANGHAI -- Tesla has established a new insurance brokerage in China as the U.S. electric vehicle maker looks to offer auto insurance-related services in the market. 

Launched on Tuesday, the new company is headquartered in Beijing, with capital of 50 million yuan (about $7 million), according to corporate information service Qichacha. Tesla Senior Vice President Tom Zhu serves as chairman.
