Honda to end production of small mopeds in 2025

TOKYO -- Honda Motor will stop making small mopeds in May 2025, Nikkei has learned, ahead of tougher emissions standards that will take effect in Japan later that year.

The move affects mopeds with engine displacements of 50 cubic centimeters and below. The Japanese automaker commands a roughly 80% domestic market share in this vehicle class.
