TOKYO -- Mitsubishi Motors is on track to a second straight year of record sales in the Philippines, where the Japanese automaker's partnership with Nissan Motor set in motion a new approach to one of Asia's most promising auto markets.

Mitsubishi Motors unveiled its new DST concept car at the Philippine International Motor Show in October. The production version of the three-row sport utility vehicle -- whose stated design concept is "gravitas and dynamism" -- will be offered primarily in Southeast Asia, starting in fiscal 2025.
