India's Motherson joins bidding to support Marelli restructuring

TOKYO -- Samvardhana Motherson Group participated in the first round of bidding that Marelli Holdings held at the end of March as it chooses a company to support its managerial restructuring, Nikkei learned on Tuesday.

Samvardhana Motherson, an Indian conglomerate and major auto parts group, has partnered with U.S. investment fund KKR to negotiate with Marelli on the terms and conditions of support ahead of the second round of bidding, set for mid-April.
