JAKARTA -- Chinese electric vehicle manufacturers and battery suppliers showed up in force on Wednesday at an auto show in Indonesia, as they look to take advantage of the resource-rich country's promotion of environmentally friendly transport.

More than 50 local and foreign companies, including motorcycle makers and charging businesses, are taking part in the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show organized by the Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry Association.
