JAKARTA -- Indonesia's plans to launch tax incentives to boost hybrid vehicle sales have come to a standstill as a key advocate faces political headwinds.

At a news conference on Aug. 5, Airlangga Hartarto, Indonesia's coordinating minister for economic affairs, said there were no plans to introduce the incentives before the end of the year.
