TOKYO -- Can struggling Mitsubishi Motors draw on its plug-in hybrid vehicles to find a role in a new automaking alliance? That is a question it faces as top shareholder Nissan Motor heads into talks on a possible merger with Honda Motor.
"After the two companies hammer out a plan, we'd like to examine whether there would be any benefit to our company," said Mitsubishi Motors President and CEO Takao Kato about the Honda-Nissan talks.
