LONDON -- Nissan Motor will sell only electric vehicles in Europe by the end of the decade, President and CEO Makoto Uchida said here Monday, as automakers prepare for a 2035 deadline to make the shift on much of the continent.

"Nissan will make the switch to full electric by 2030 in Europe," Uchida said during an event at a Nissan design center in London.
