MUMBAI -- As the world's second-largest market for two-wheeled vehicles goes electric, India's Ola Electric Mobility has taken a strong early lead over established rivals that had focused on gasoline-powered models.

Ola scooters in a rainbow of colors are a common sight on the streets in Bengaluru, the manufacturer's home city.
