TOKYO -- Suzuki Motor will build a second motorcycle plant in India at a cost of 11.74 billion rupees ($137 million), the company said Tuesday, as it seeks to boost sales in one of the world's largest motorcycle markets.

The new factory will be located in Kharkhoda, a city in the northern state of Haryana. Production is slated to begin in 2027.
