NAGOYA -- Toyota Motor plans to make 11 million vehicles worldwide in the 2022 fiscal year starting in April, an increase of around 20% from the current fiscal year and a record, Nikkei has learned.

The plan suggests the Japanese automaker anticipates a strong recovery in a global auto market that has been held in check by a shortage of key components amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
