NAGOYA, Japan -- Japanese auto components maker Tamagawa Seiki has carved out a small but critical spot in the supply chain for Toyota Motor and other automakers with power-saving angle sensors, grabbing a 70% share of the global market for the part.

The company plans to double production capacity by 2030 with new plants in Vietnam and China.
