HANOI -- Vietnamese automaker VinFast has begun sales of its electric vehicles, becoming the first major car company operating in Vietnam to sell EVs in the country.

The company, a unit of top Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, looks to deliver about 100 to customers by the end of the month.
