TOKYO -- Japanese motorcycle maker Yamaha Motor is expanding its mobility leasing business for local startups in India, helping them to develop Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) businesses like ride-hailing platforms and reaching out to the local market it has yet to tap.
The company plans to increase the number of vehicles it rents out from the current 10,000 units to 50,000 and secure more profits in its new three-year business plan ending 2027.
