Kanagawa to attract U.S. medical school

WASHINGTON -- Japan's Kanagawa Prefecture is seeking to bring a U.S. medical school to the city of Kawasaki, Gov. Yuji Kuroiwa said.

     As a pillar of its economic growth strategy, the government of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe recently selected the Tokyo metropolitan area, which includes Kanagawa Prefecture, as one of the "national strategic special zones," where regulations will be eased.
