Adani Group wins bid to operate five India airports

Adani Enterprises won the bid to operate, manage, and develop the five airports under a public-private partnership, according to state-owned airport operator Airport Authority of India. 

MUMBAI (NewsRise) -- India's Adani Group emerged the highest bidder to operate five regional airports that the government had put on the block, marking billionaire Gautam Adani's entry into the aviation sector.

Adani Enterprises won the bid to operate, manage, and develop the five airports under a public-private partnership, according to state-owned airport operator Airport Authority of India. The facilities are in Ahmedabad and Jaipur in western India, Lucknow in northern India and Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru in the south.
