Second round of bidding for Japanese retail and restaurant units could start in early 2025

TOKYO -- Bain Capital, KKR and Japan Industrial Partners have moved on to the next round of bidding for the non-core operations of Seven & i Holdings, the Japanese parent of the 7-Eleven convenience store chain, Nikkei learned Wednesday.

Seven & i is looking to sell York Holdings, an intermediate holding company for general merchandising chain Ito-Yokado, supermarket operator York-Benimaru and other operations.
