KUALA LUMPUR -- Capital A, the parent company of Malaysian budget carrier AirAsia, and PT Garuda Indonesia have agreed to cooperate in maintaining, repairing and overhauling jetliners.
Capital A subsidiary Asia Digital Engineering and PT Garuda subsidiary PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia will launch a joint venture with a combined investment of $12 million. Plans are for the venture to begin operating early next year and for it to provide landing gear solutions to Southeast Asia's booming aviation maintenance market.
