TOKYO -- Indian broadcaster Zee Entertainment has withdrawn its bid to force a $10 billion merger with Sony's local unit, several months after the Japanese company pulled out of the blockbuster deal.
Zee said late Tuesday that it had canceled a merger implementation application filed with the National Company Law Tribunal, a quasi-judicial body that adjudicates issues related to Indian companies.
