TOKYO -- Itochu aims to get highly coveted Japanese health products on more shelves in China through a partnership with a pharmaceutical group there, with high-tech cooperation to follow.

The goal is to supply more products that are popular among Chinese visitors to Japan, including over-the-counter and prescription drugs as well as health foods, to Chinese hospitals and pharmacies. Itochu will use the sales channels of Baheal Pharmaceutical Group, headquartered in the eastern province of Shandong. By 2023, the Japanese trading house aims to achieve sales of 10 billion yen ($91.3 million) through the partnership.
